A way to explain the notebooking method

There are many ideas and inspirations from the www.momdelights.com website.

Basically, if a person has the habit of encouraging the children to copy sentences, phrases, ideas, notes and so forth, then the child will be a more independent reader in no time at all.

Typically a child in the 4th level should have the ability to gather general notes from what he or she has read.  Then from those notes develop a paragraph or full page explanation of what he or she read.

Here is a way to do the note-booking method: http://momdelights.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Charlotte-Mason-Style-Lesson-Sheets-for-the-McGuffey-Readers-and-Other-Literature.pdf

A great resource for biography introductions.....

I personally prefer to use "raw books" to get TRUTH based information about the various people from history, but to encourage a greater understanding of the people in history, a person can start with a good resource that introduces the famous people at a "child's reading" level.

Here is the website: https://gardenofpraise.com/leaders.htm

This particular website also contains various bible quizes and introductions for free!
